20cm Moon globes with accurate and highly detailed raised relief.
Created using NASA digital mapping, these globes show surface features in three dimensions.
Also included is a machined solid aluminium stand weighing 1.5 kg, and a brass makers nameplate with globe number and year of manufacture. Customised nameplates are also available for gifts or personalising the globe.
A unique feature is the addition of crater and feature names on the raised relief three dimensional topographic surface. This has to be done by hand using a process specially developed for these globes.
Each globe is constructed using several layers of metal powder and resin in a process known as cold casting and a brass dividing ring separates north and south hemispheres.
Each globe is individually numbered – 20cm Moon globe No 135 is presently available.
