40cm Moon globes with accurate and highly detailed raised relief.
Created using NASA digital mapping, these globes show surface features in three dimensions.
A unique feature is the addition of crater and feature names on the globes three dimensional topographic surface. This has to be done by hand using a process specially developed for these globes.
Each globe is constructed using several layers of metal powder and resin in a process known as cold casting. A brass dividing ring separates north and south hemispheres.
Also included is a machined solid aluminium stand and a brass makers nameplate with globe number and year of manufacture. Customised nameplates are also available for Presentations, gifts or personalising the globe (see personalised etched brass plates).
